Airbus delivers 50th H160 helicopter

Airbus Helicopters marked the delivery of its 50th H160 — the twin-engine medium helicopter that entered service in 2022. Operators across EMS, offshore oil and gas, and VIP transport have logged more than 40,000 flight hours on the type. The H160 family introduces Airbus's Biplane Stabilizer, Blue Edge blades for lower noise, and a fully composite airframe that reduces maintenance costs by roughly 20 percent compared to the preceding AS365 Dauphin. Airbus says the production ramp will push annual deliveries past 30 aircraft by 2026 as demand continues to grow in Asia and the Gulf region.
